It is the surgical medical specialty that is responsible for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of renal morphological diseases, those of the urinary system and retro-peritoneum that affect both sexes, as well as diseases of the male genital tract, without age difference.
It contemplates the kidney and its adjacent structures, the urinary tract and the male genital tract, attending to dysfunctions of the v ejiga, kidney, adrenal gland, prostate, penis, scrotum, testicle, epididymis, ureter, seminal tract, urethra, pelvic floor structures .
When should I visit it?
From the age of 40 or 45, men should go regularly for an analysis and medical check-up to the urologist.
